  1. That's awesome... I've been a blog slacker and haven't made it out to visit my favorite blogs lately, but I need to make time to stop here more often!

  2. Kinda strange to see barbed wire across the front of Jesus, but awesome pic!

  3. SD- Dude, I've been the worst blogger lately. No judging. Always glad to have SD here!
Krissy: right? That's why I took it...couldn't resist!

  4. Why is the Jesus statue being imprisoned behind barbed wire? It looks like they're trying to keep him from escaping.

I think it's a little late for that. Isn't that what Easter's all about?

  5. Wow. That is a really amazing shot. Very nicely done. I like the new banner at the top of the page by the way. Very...colorful. :)

  6. Chanel: COMMENT OF THE DAY AWARD!
Candice: I'm glad you like it...but it still feels like some edgy restaurant banner instead of a personal blog...I may have to fuss with it. But I was sick of seeing my legs in that frozen water. Also? Sepia tones? SO last fall.

  7. I should have sent you my old South End address so you could snap a pic of the old place. Really that would be more for me and not so much you. And Jesus behind barbed wire is a lot cooler.

  10. Nikki: You know I would've gladly done it and had a ball post-stalking you!
    Alexandra: I blush! Thanks!
JM: I am seriously so glad you explained because I had a brief second of OH MY GOD I AM SCARING AWAY READERS.
Mary-- Thanks! It's an abandoned Catholic cathedral, and the presence of barbed wire made me sad...but it was such, such a beautiful church. I wish it was still open. I'm so afraid they're going to tear it down.

  13. Awesome urban pic, Nicki. So good, in fact, you may want to reduce the image quality or size so it isn't swiped and used all over the Internet without credit to you. If I had no conscience, I'd steal it, Jesus or no Jesus in the shot!

The allegories here are too many to count. Fantastic.

Oh, and I ended up marrying Mrs. Robinson, so my interpretation is that she was after more than just a good time with a young dude. She wanted his life force forever and ever.

  14. Fuck, I meant the comment that I put on your other entry to go here go. I wouldn't have even known except that I went back to add to my original comment how beautiful the photo was, and saw that my original comment wasn't here. This is Kat: she does shit like this all the time.

    *facepalm*

  15. LOVE the pic. A little disturbing.

Should the new header remind me of boobs? I don't know why it reminds me of boobs.

  17. I'll be honest with you...I first cruised past this post. I'm sort of a word-y (does that even make sense, self? No...it does not.) But then... I back tracked.

that is a fascinating picture. Very thought-provoking. You don't realize it at first, but then...bam!

    Awesome pic.

Comment on this post. Or tell me your favorite movie. Or your favorite pez flavor. Maybe your analytical interpretation of "The Graduate." Anything goes, really.
