friday photoblog: on saying goodbye

Short and sweet for you today-- working on a series of Farewell Virginia photo-posts before I begin the great northern migration to Boston. I'll be posting more sporadically through the next month, as I'm going to be rambling around the region on a Whirlwind 'Farewell Virginia' Tour. Expect pictures, stories, travelogues, and photos of me crying into a stack of crab cakes.

  5. I don't know why this didn't show up in my feed on Saturday. How did I miss this?

I love this photo! It looks so sad. I especially love the door. That's the part my eyes fixed on first.

  6. I'm going to be sniffling right along with you, dariln'.

I'll blame it on allergies because I'm far too badass to experience fuzzy sentimental emotions.

  9. But.. But... You'll enjoy the crab cakes, right? I mean, don't get them all soppy and ruin them. That would be terrible to waste them. :) You'll be okay, girl. And we will enjoy hearing about the journey.

  10. Nicole- I am ridiculously excited. RIDICULOUSLY.
Onion-- I don't quite understand this Sox phenomenon. I don't quite understand this whole "baseball" thing either. I suspect Boston and I may have problems because of this.
Gnetch-- A stack of crab cakes with FRESHLY CAUGHT CRABS!
Candice-- I suspect there shall be lots of crabs, sand, sea, and traffic. Such is the Southern VA way.

  11. Jess-- Thanks and welcome! I had a lot of fun writing that post, so I'm glad others liked it =)

Chanel-- I LOVE the door...and I love the trim, too. Such character on that little house.

    Mary-- Thanks!

Celia-- I hope the farewell posts won't be too sappy...well, maybe a little sappy is okay. I hope they strike a sap balance.

Krissy-- No, silly! The tears add natural salt flavoring =)

Comment on this post. Or tell me your favorite movie. Or your favorite pez flavor. Maybe your analytical interpretation of "The Graduate." Anything goes, really.
